| Abstract: |
| This note examines the effect of spectral bandwidth on the determination of both the actual concentration of DNA from its absorption at 260 nm and the determination of the purity of the nucleic acid solution using the A260/280 ratio. An Evolution 300 UV-Vis spectrophotometer and a BioMate 3 spectrophotometer were used in the experiments.
